SAN DIEGO'S PENINSULA WOMEN'S SOCCER LEAGUE (PWSL)

San Diego's Peninsula Women's Soccer League (PWSL) is currently affiliated with the United States Specialty Sports Administration (USSSA). PWSL has approximately 40 teams participating across all divisions each season.  We accommodate all skill and age groups of adult women.

The league is divided into open divisions and aged brackets.  The open divisions are divided into 3 divisions: Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3.  Division 1 is the most competitive of the open divisions.  Players participating in open divisions must be at least 18 years of age or be at least 16 years of age with signed parental permission.  

There are two aged brackets: Over 30 and Over 38.  Players participating in either of the aged divisions must be turning the noted age by the end of the calendar year.  The Over 30 division does have an exception allowing 3 players ages 27-29. See league policies for details.  


LEAGUE SEASONS

The league offers three seasons:

Fall Season
Mid-September through November.
Games are played on Sundays.
Fields are based on permitting.
All divisions are offered.
Format: 11 v 11.

Spring Season
Mid-January through May.
Games are played on Saturdays.
Most games take place at Robb Field in Ocean Beach, along with other fields in the central San Diego area (based on available permits).
All divisions are offered.
Format: 11 v 11.  

Summer Season
June through July.
Games are played on weeknights.
Fields are based on permitting.
One general open division and an Over 38 division are offered. 
Format: 7 v 7.
