League Meeting Minutes
January 6, 2003
Called to order 7:00 p.m.

All PWSL teams were represented.
Revised PWSL policies and procedures now on website, please visit the site and review, bring questions or concerns to next meeting.
All reps were reminded that a $50 fine for no team representation at PWSL meetings will be enforced.
Referee issues: Games will start on time, only 7 players needed to start the game, game time will not be delayed. Please have yellow cards filled out. Green cards are needed, ref evaluations are based on these cards. Ray to remind refs of 45 min ½'s. If a red card has been issued, ref mails player card & yellow line up card to PWSL.
Jackie passed out yellow and green cards: If a red card has been issued to a player, It is the team reps responsibility to email or notify an explanation to Jackie within 72 hours. The player card must also be sent to Jackie and the player is suspended until the board can review and respond to the email.
Fields: We will use fields 1,2,3,6 & 8, Lindbergh will be available March 15th. The Rec Center opens at 8am, Sandy Wheeler to ask if goal enclosure next to Rec Center can be opened at 7:30 am, goal enclosure next to field 8 is not available and cannot house adult goals.
Registration: 22 players max per roster, drop fee $2 add fee $14, send these fees with registration to Dina. Dina's computer crashed, all team rosters were reconstructed, please review and verify the rosters. Players who are 29 are eligible to play in the 30A or 30B divisions, providing they turn 30 in the year 2003.
Fees: Winter session fees due today; If you previously bounced a check to PWSL you must now pay with cashiers check or money order. Carole will notify affected team.
Tickets available for US WOMEN vs Japan $20 at USD game 1/12/03 at 1:00 pm
Fund raiser: It was announced Board had idea to raise funds and promote PWSL League and SD Sockers; 6 Team, Indoor Mini "B" Division, Soccer Tournament, games would be played at the SD Sports Arena, tentative date March 1st, entry fee approx $200 per team.
Entry fee would include a ticket to the SD Sockers game for March 1st, that night. PWSL would also have to sell 160 additional tickets for that game at $10 each. This would raise approx $800 for PWSL. This idea was voted on and approved by the reps.
New tournament: Hawaii Pacific Cup Invitational, June 6-8, 2003, women's open, 30 & 40 div, any interested reps will be emailed the flyer.
