League Meeting Minutes
February 3, 2003
Called to order 7:00 p.m.

PWSL Spring Indoor Soccer Challenge. Previously approved PWSL indoor soccer tournament at the SD Sports Arena (in a teaming arrangement with the SD Sockers) was cancelled and deferred to the next Sockers season (September 2003 - March 2004).
Field/Goals. PWSL only has four sets of large nets for the Robb Field goals; therefore, Robb #8 is the field designated to use the transportable goals that are located in the PWSL shed. The Home Team on Robb #8 is responsible for ensuring that the PWSL shed is locked up after the last game.
The poor condition of Robb #6 was discussed. Sandy Wheeler (field coordinator) will bring up safety issues (large holes, uneven surface) to the Robb Field Recreation Center staff.
Red Cards. If red cards are issued during a game, please advise Jackie Armstrong, the statistician. She can then ensure that the appropriate team and referee reports are submitted so that the Board can make a determination regarding the number of games that the player(s) must sit out.
Standings. Several team scores were missing from the standings and were solicited.
Miscellaneous reminders. The wearing of bandanas are allowed. Jewelry is permissible if taped and/or not a safety issue. Sleeveless jerseys are allowed; however players should wear consistent colored jerseys, shorts, socks.
Schedule was distributed. It was noted that May 17th was being reserved for either rainouts or playoffs. The schedule, as usual, accommodated the two Las Vegas tournaments. Email to scheduler@pwsl.org if there are any problems with the schedule. It was also noted that games are scheduled at Lindbergh, starting March 15th. Directions to the field are available on the league website.
Forfeit fees. Forfeit fees are $25 if reported by Tuesdays…and $75 if reported after Tuesdays. Gaps in the schedule must be reported to the referee scheduler by Wednesday; otherwise, full referee fees must be paid.
League Structure. A change in the league structure was discussed briefly. Lower B is too big a division. Suggestions were solicited with regard to restructuring the league in time for the fall 2003 session. Possibilities include Divisions I, II, III, IV, V; Premier, A, B, C; or A, UB, LB, C. 30A and 30B to remain unchanged…although any suggestions/comments are welcomed. Further discussion was tabled to a future meeting so that teams would have some time to think of ideas.
