League Meeting Minutes 
Feb 4, 2002
Called to order 7:10 p.m.
Approval of minutes: 1st Kim Townsend    2nd Jane Sepulveda
  1. Registration - Dina
    • passport size photos only = no hats, sunglasses or anything to cover face
    • team rep must mail the information into Dina = check picture!
    • transfer/drop = must have players card that you are dropping
    • fees go to Dina = cannot process unless fees are included
      • add = $14
      • drop = $2
      • transfer = $5
  2. Schedule distribution at conclusion of meeting
  3. Equipment take down = $25 fine
    • move cart
    • portables & flags in shed (on the far side of the tennis courts)
    • goals into goal enclosure (by Robb Field Office)
    • field 2 - portable goals - left goals, put back
  4. Goals - Field 8 = use our goals not the ones that already have nets on
  5. Board members will be at games to open/close
    • If the shed/gates are not open, go to the Robb Field management and they will give you a key. Please return the key promptly to the office.
  6. 30B to Lindbergh March 2nd = no Robb 8
  7. Ray Theep - Ref Liaison
    • concern = sprinkler heads not flush Field 2 - fill area around holes 15 yards west of center circlel
    • please call/e-mail Carole Hurst to let her know about any problems
    • lack of green/yellow cards
    • jewelry policy = tape/cover or remove ok
    • make sure captain and assistant ref are aware
    • rules for each division = refs need to be told
    • San Diego County Referees Association = www.sdsrca.org
  8. Scheduler - Nancy
    • forfeits are $25 if called into Nancy by Tuesday
    • $75 fee if you call after Tuesday or don't show
    • be sure to contact the opposing team to let them know of the forfeit
  9. Spirit Grassroots - promote ticket sales
    • buy 200 tickets @ $10/ticket
    • East end of the field
    • May 5th game vs. Washington (Mia Hamm)
    • Backup game June 1 vs. Atlanta
    • League expense for banner
    • 1st come, 1st serve; team buy then order; pre-order ?????
  10. Schedule
    • until May 4th
    • rainout dates May 11th/18th
    • March 9th and April 20th = O30A & LB teams to play doubleheader
    • 20 teams made special requests this year
      • this option may be taken away next season
      • this option may have limitations next season
  11. Suggestion for Field 9 to expand
  12. Rule for winning team in a division = get bumped up to higher division
    • if 50% of your team is lost then you do not have to move up
  13. Send scores to Yuki by Monday afternoon
