League Meeting Minutes 
February 5, 2001

  1. Kim Free - director of sales/marketing for the San Diego Spirit
    • presentation about WUSA - gave prizes, game schedules
    • link on our web page to their site
  2. San Diego Sockers requested mailing list. We will give them team reps only.
  3. Soccer radio show on 1170 AM KCBQ - Saturdays 11:00-12:00 DJ - Jeff Scott
  4. Possible schedule change on March 10th
    • Field 8 may be unavailable
    • New schedule coming out ASAP
  5. Lighting trucks working at the fields this coming weekend (2/10)
  6. Make sure that if you have the last game of the day on your field that you take down the goals. Check the schedule if you are not sure.
  7. The transportable goals will be used on Field #1.
    • Put them away in the shed along with the nets
  8. Las Vegas tournament is closed as of 2nd week in January.
  9. Bucket in shed has extra velcro, pegs, etc.
  10. Rain-out date is May 19th.
  11. Standings - people need to call in the scores if results are to be posted. Green cards follow much later.
  12. Green/Yellow cards - Let Carole Hurst/Kim Craig know if you need some and they will mail them to you.
  13. Jewelry - Ray Theep states "no jewelry", take it off! Some questions about small upper earrings - may be OK'd if taped, but refs may ask you to remove them because of potential for injury.
  14. Call in forfeits! Easier to keep track of.
  15. Reminder - deadline for registration is 9 pm on Saturday night.
  16. New roster of available players.
  17. Will need new pictures for player cards next year. Carole will confirm with California Soccer Association.
  18. Question on substitutes - ref's discretion on if and when you can substitute. Any stoppage of play may be deemed appropriate for substituting.
  19. SDSU fields - practice field available only (lower field) - apparently it is very small and may reconsider for next year. 100 x 50 yards is the minimum size.
  20. All injuries must be reported to the referee and noted on the yellow/green cards to be eligible for an insurance claim! They are very strict with this policy.
