  9. If you know in advance that you will be missing a game for a tournament, then you MUST call Nancy Modaffari and let her know of the conflict. She will try to accommodate your request.
  10. Looking Ahead for Winter - O'30, O'35, O'40 - what to do?
    • Competitive/Recreational O'30 divisions - get certain block of times for this division, this will eliminate conflict with another team that they play for, the block of time can move, but there will be no conflict with other team.
    • Are there enough goalkeepers for this to happen? Suggestion to grandfather GK's only.
    • Many players don't know league is doing this - send out a flyer to each player 29+ and give options to help decide what to do.
    • O'40 division already exists; therefore do we need one in PWSL?
    • Are there going to be set fields? Will there have to be travel time considered for both divisions you play for?
    • Competitive O'30 - easier to go to tournaments
    • Growing Idea (give 3 years to establish) - get strategy and commit to it, then their field.
    • Can there be two separate days of play so we can play for both teams?
Saturday/Sunday - more flexibility, more choice
Can't be in both competitive and rec - you'll have to choose
  11. O'35 can have up to 6 players that are 30+.
  12. Metal knee braces MUST BE COVERED in order to play in PWSL.
  13. New teams to PWSL need policies and procedures. See Carole Hurst for your copy or call her.
  14. Rest of Fall 2000 fees is due on 9/1/00 in the mail or to the box outside of Carole's house.
  15. Next meeting is scheduled for 9/5/00 at 7 pm. The meeting will normally be on the first Monday of the month unless you are told otherwise.
  16. First game for Fall 2000 is set for 9/10/00.
  17. Is there secondary insurance for players who don't have their own insurance? Yes. Ask Carole for a copy of this information and a claim form.
  18. Nets will be set up and taken down for us Fall 2000 at Mira Mesa, if the gentleman is still interested in doing this for the league.
  19. At the next meeting you will be getting a referee's report and a referee's evaluation.
    • The referee at your game will collect the report and they will mail them into Kim or the P.O.box.
    • The evaluation you are to fill out and mail to Kim or the P.O.box.
  20. Ask Ray Theep if it is possible for the league to have a list for each team with their eligible players and 2 board members signatures. The player will also have to show a positive identification (driver's license) in order to play in that particular game. It would help the teams just in case they are left at home, a coach or team rep left town, or any other situation.
